The new Obervellmar residential park in Vellmar is the home of the future. In order to provide this with a long-term secure foundation, HGS GmbH decided to use the KEMPEROL product range as the contractor. Underground garage ceilings, balconies and arcades were primed and waterproofed over an area of 3,500 square metres. Contractor Marc Schulz explains the challenges this project presented and which KEMPEROL products were used.
What particular challenges did you face with the Obervellmar residential park project?
In the course of a project, it can always happen that you encounter one or two hurdles. In our case, with the Obervellmar residential park, it was a matter of finding and using the right time for coating. The closure and preparation of the underground car park ceiling required precise timing and efficient work. On top of that, the weather conditions were extremely bad, which of course always makes work a little more difficult. But in the end we were able to overcome both challenges and deliver a good job.
How were the KEMPEROL products able to support you and which products did you use on this project?
Because of the time factor and the difficult weather conditions, we chose KEMPEROL AC Speed. Because it cures particularly quickly, it was the best choice for our project and our work process. This meant we could coat accurately and effectively, the garage area could be released again quickly and we were able to make the most of good weather.
